What is Tencel?

Tencel is a type of regenerated cellulose fiber sourced from sustainably maintained eucalyptus trees, manufactured using resource efficient production methods.

Its origin from the pulp of eucalyptus wood makes Tencel sheets naturally cooling, wicking away night sweats and keeping sleepers comfortable even in warm weathers. The fabric is know for its softness, silkiness, durability, breathability, and biodegradability.

The Healing Properties of Tencel

For Sensitive Skin

Features of the Tencel Lyocell fabric help to prevent eczema flare-ups and boost the healing process, making it perfect for those with skin conditions like eczema, atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, or sensitive skin.

  • Soft and gentle: do not chafe and rub like spandex or nylon.

  • Itch-suppressing: helps combat the urge to itch throughout the night.

  • Inhibits bacterial growth: decreases the risks of infection.

  • Moisture-absorbent: holds 50% more moisture than cotton.

Sustainable Luxury

Environmentally Responsible Bedding

By choosing Tencel bed sheets, you are embracing bedding that not only conserves natural resources but also supports a sustainable future.

The production of Tencel uses wood from trees in sustainably harvested forests, during which 99% of the chemicals and solvents used to break down wood pulp are recovered and recycled. Tencel fabrics are biodegradable and compostable, meaning Tencel fibers can be fully reverted back to the nature, causing no further waste.

Temperature Regulation of Tencel

So Cool, So Nice!

The microscopic fibers in Tencel fabrics are structured to regulate the absorption and release of moisture from the body. Therefore, the Tencel fabric serves a temperature regulation function—as the body warms up or cools down, the fabric reacts accordingly by absorbing or release moisture. As moisture is absorbed into the fabric rather than resting on its surface, Tencel bedding feels dry and cool even in the most humid nights.
